Sometimes jokes requires a little imagination, therefore I think is suitable for a photography blog... :P Anyways, I got this from a friend this morning, thought I'd share it. :D
-----------------------
A firefighter was working on the engine outside the station, when he noticed a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides, and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.
The girl was wearing a firefighters helmet. The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat.
The firefighter walked over to take a closer look.
'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the firefighter said with admiration.
'Thanks,' the girl replied.
The firefighter looked a little closer.
The fireman noticed the girl had tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.
'Little partner,' the firefighter said, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster.'
The little girl replied thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.' :D

Christy (Studio)
I met another local photographer from an online photography forum, and he was very nice to let me borrow his newly rented studio for some lighting practice. He has just about everything one would need in a studio, so if I wanted to try something, he was able to deliver, lenses included!
Now that I have a place, I wanted to find a model. My friend Christy (She was from the "Christy and the SRT-4" shoot) is also interested in photography, so I thought this would be a great opportunity for the both of us to learn something. My last shoot with her wasn't so good since I just started at the time, this should make it up to her a little bit... :)
I shot all the photos here with my Canon XSi with either the (freaking sweet) 50mm f/1.2L or my 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, although I did get to try out the 5D Mark II with the 85L lens. I so want... :D Anyways, here are some that I can up with:

My favorite! Saw this from a fashion magazine. |
Some shadows for dramatic effect. |
This is one of Christy's favorites. |
I was experimenting with the hair light from the left side. |

Brianne
Wow, what a better way to start the new year than a photoshoot?! My friend from back in college saw my photos, and was interested in her own shoot. She asked me about it, and told me that she liked it so much that she was going to pay me for her shoot! Of course, like a starving artist, I agreed right away... ha ha! Anyways, we shot at a park near her house, most were shot with my 70-200 f/2.8 IS.

Yes I know, everyone has done this shot before, but I wanted to try it too! |
