Giving Back Through The Lens

I know I promised more wedding photos, but I am just not giving myself any breaks even when there are no weddings! Ha ha! One of my friend Nathan organized the volunteer/charity event called Giving Back Through The Lens, and I was fortunate enough to get involved! You can find his contact info as well as the event info in the web site:

http://www.givingbackthroughthelens.org

It's pretty much free portraits for families that can't afford professional photos, and this way we will give them something to remember by. Though I got some really good and cute candids of the families that came, I can't show any photos of their faces due to privacy. I am sure they will be released soon. Meanwhile, you will just have to settle for us staff members, ha ha!

We Believe!

This is my station... :)

Ladies who made everything flow nicely!

Everyone checking to make sure the settings are dialed in!

Our very own videographer, can't wait to see the end product!

High-five for a job well done!

The man behind all this... Nice job Nathan!

Yeah... This is why she is a pro with the kids... Ha ha!

I SO need to get one of these for when I shoot weddings!

Bridal: Whitney + Tim

They look familiar eh? Well, that's because I have shot Whitney and Tim's wedding about 6 months ago! Since I was there more for helping and moral support (at least I'd like to think so), I didn't shoot as much. But if you want to see what Laura got, head over to her post on the Lark Photography blog! She has some really cool off camera lighting setups that should blow your mind.

And onto the photos!

One of my fav action shots!

Maternity: Carrie + Marc

I have never done maternity shoots before, but Carrie and Marc had confidence in me, so we decided to take a night out to the President Hotel downtown and Power and Light District for some photos! Glad we did!

We got a lot of shade, so it was perfect to shoot outdoors, and it wasn't too hot. Carrie and Marc were both really easy to work with, they were down with any creative shots I can think of.

I am pretty pleased with the results I got, and it was fun! If you got a little one coming soon, contact me to see if we can get together for a shoot!

Back lighted!

Flair Fashion Show by Watercolors High Fashion

6/4/2010, hosted by Watercolors High Fashion

I got to shoot some behind the scenes stuff, but was the main guy for the runway. If I recall correctly, there were 42 models! First part was fashion stuff, and second part was more classy cocktail dress type. Thanks to Shelley Wood for putting this up, pay her a visit if you are up by Parkville, MO and are looking for some fashionable clothing!

(You can use the photos for like facebook profile picture, but please don't crop out the logo! Thanks!)

This is Shelley!
